Have fun exploring. To start you off, Colonial Williamsburg is home to a central base called the Historic Triangle. Here are some fun facts about the area: Virginia's Historic Triangle is a 23 mile coastal region connecting three major Colonial, Revolutionary, and Civil War era sites in southeastern Virginia via the Colonial Parkway. It includes: Jamestown (1607 English settlement), Colonial Williamsburg (18th-century capital), and Yorktown (1781 Revolutionary War battlefield). Key Attractions and Sites Jamestown: Features Historic Jamestown (original site) and the Jamestown Settlement (living-history museum). Colonial Williamsburg: A massive living-history museum featuring restored and reconstructed 18th-century buildings, the Governor's Palace Gardens, and historic trades. Yorktown: Site of the final major battle of the American Revolution, featuring the Yorktown Battlefield, Yorktown Visitor Center,and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown.
